 New Services for Members Minimize

UltraDX.com is committed to bringing amateurs worldwide a rich set of community related services and tools that enrich our experiences as amateur radio operators both on and off the air.

As part of that commitment, we are actively building and delivering new applications. Many of these applications and services are designed with recognition to existing online amateur services and it is our intent to provide interactive tool-sets that enable members to not only use our services, but to streamline the use of other great services such as QRZ, QTH and eHam.

With that spirit in mind, we are developing and implementing a number of tools to enhance and simplify your use of these services. Below we introduce you to two of these services:

  • Advanced Call Sign Search  The new call sign search is more advanced than ever. Not only does it allow you to look up call signs, but you can do partial searches too. Type any call sign in the search box located on the menu bar of every page and you will be taken directly to the results page. From the results, you can perform full or partial call sign and last name searches. Our system searches our member database, the FCC database and QRZ.com's database simultaneously and returns the best results along with all relevant site data, such as classfieds, forum posts, and more.

  • Classifieds Export Ad  The export feature in the classifieds has been designed to allow our members a single interface to post their ads on other popular amateur radio sites. Once you have placed an ad with UltraDX.com, simply select the Export This Ad feature from your classified and follow the simply step by step instructions that will assist you in cross posting your ads to QRZ, QTH and eHam. After all, why not obtain maximum exposure with minimal effort.

We have also added a new field for the classifieds to link your website where you may have additional photos or information.

  • Zimbra Email Service  UltraDX offers the award winning Zimbra Collaboration Suite for our members email service. Zimbra offers a robust web mail client, the Yahoo Zimbra Desktop, SMTP, POP3 and IMAP services along with a suite of collaboration features such as shared calendars, contact management, mobile web access and unified messaging integrated with UltraDX's SIP VoIP and Voice-mail services. From a single Zimbra mail client or desktop, members can centralize multiple email services into a single user interface, including Yahoo Mail, GMail, AOL, QRZ, QTH etc. Gone are the days of logging into multiple mail sites or programs to retrieve messages. Simply login, browse to UltraDX Email in the My Account section and create a email address and centralize all your email services with the most robust mail client available.

When you sign up for the free email service, please don't forget to try the web mail interface. We are certain you will like it as well, if not better then, Outlook.

  • Advanced Forums  Our new AJAX driven forums service provides the amateur radio community one of the most robust, feature rich discussion services available on the Internet. Combined with our new active messaging service, the amateur community is now empowered to communicate like never before. Built in support for HTML and Rich Text editing, advanced search, topic subcriptions, email notification and more are standard on UltraDX.com. We invite you to try our brand new forum service today.  There's now a public forum for those that have something to say but don't want to become a member!

We are excited to bring these rich, feature packed services to the amateur community, in an easy on the eyes presentation free from both banner advertising and membership fees.

We offer our deepest gratitude to the first 1000 members whom have helped us launch this website. Through their participation, feedback, suggestions and painstaking trial and error we have been able to develop, deploy and deliver these services.

There's much more to come, so hold on tight and enjoy the ride!
